Program Objectives
The objectives of this program are closely tied to ZERU Center’s research on ethical AI integration, business innovation, and entrepreneurship development.
Key objectives include:
- Mastery of AI Tools: Participants will learn to develop and integrate AI-powered tools that optimize business functions, aligning with ethical standards.
- Business Model Development: Participants will use the Business Model Canvas to develop, test, and refine their business models, ensuring they align with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Participants will gather and analyze business data, using AI tools to inform strategic decisions and validate business assumptions.
- Ethical AI Integration: Workshops will emphasize ethical AI use, focusing on inclusivity, transparency, and sustainable business practices.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Participants will work in teams to develop and execute their business ideas, with a focus on fostering collaboration and leadership.
Program Overview
The program is structured around ZERU’s 52-week curriculum, integrating interactive learning through:
- Weekly Workshops: Focused on topics such as value proposition development, market analysis, and AI tool customization.
- Business Model Canvas Cards: Hands-on activities using the Business Model Canvas to simulate real-world business scenarios and refine strategic plans.
- AI Integration: Sessions on using AI to improve efficiency, predict market trends, and enhance customer engagement.
Participants will also meet weekly with a ZERU AI Coach for feedback, guidance, and action planning. The highly interactive workshops encourage continuous learning through peer discussions and practical exercises.
Program Deliverables
Mastery of the program is based on performance in three key areas:
1. Final Business Plan and Report showing what you have done or will do for the business:
- A comprehensive business plan (10-15 pages) that outlines the business concept, market validation, customer insights, and AI integration.
- Each participant will also submit an individual reflection on their learning journey.
2. Final Investor Presentation:
- A professional investor/stakeholder pitch that includes 10-15 slides outlining the business model, AI integration, market strategy, and financial projections. Presentations will take place during final exam week.
3. Weekly Updates and Participation:
- Participants will submit weekly updates detailing their progress, lessons learned, and action plans. Regular attendance in workshops and peer-to-peer sessions is required.
Resources needed for the program
- ZERU Insights Newsroom: A curated platform providing resources from top entrepreneurs and industry experts. Participants are required to engage by commenting and sharing insights.
- Why Startups Fail and How Yours Can Succeed, by David Feinleib, Apress, 2011: Selected chapters will be assigned as part of the program.
- Business Model Canvas Book
- Additional Resources: Access to ZERU’s free digital program, including website hosting, digital notebook downloads, and productivity tools.
- Business Model Canvas Cards: Available during workshops to support business planning.

Evaluation and Grading
Participants receiving a certificate of completion will be evaluated based on:
- Engagement: Active participation in discussions, peer-to-peer sessions, and customer outreach.
- Research and Logic: Quality of research conducted and soundness of business decisions.
- AI Integration: Mastery in applying AI tools to enhance business operations.
- Final Presentation: Clarity, professionalism, and completeness of the final business presentation.
- Final Report: Insightful reflection on personal learning and business development throughout the program.
Other Important Items
- Team Participation: Participants must form teams or join existing teams by the first week. Teams must complete a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining roles, responsibilities, and ownership.
- Confidentiality: All participants must adhere to ZERU Center’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Communication Skills: Written communication skills will be assessed, as participants are expected to write and synthesize ideas in a professional manner. Strong communication is critical for future business success and investment opportunities.
