Business Development Road Map

What is a business development roadmap? A business development roadmap helps relevant departments visualize their primary tasks to achieve fast revenue and market-share growth, often in a one-year span.

Companies can create many types of roadmaps to provide employees with a visual understanding of business operations and aims. For example, customer journey maps are a tool to understand how people and companies buy your software.

They have two key benefits.

  1. Road maps are a strategic tool to communicate across your organization to show what people are working on and how those activities support a particular strategy. By boiling down a lot of complexity into a visual map, it becomes simpler to communicate the complexity of the business and reach a shared understanding.
  2. Road mapping also defines the data you need to track, attribute and sync across all your business.

A business roadmap may also refer to a specific type of roadmap used by companies. This kind of roadmap is a visualization of a company's business plans, meaning that it illustrates key deadlines, projects, and strategies. A business roadmap shows how each department and team fits into a business's overall structure and future initiatives.

Business development roadmaps are often quite simple, however, the one we developed seeks to do the opposite. We want to drill deep to understand various minute tasks/decisions that may be made as a company becomes more organized.
